Where to hold #androidukbbq

The first thing that has to be decided is where we are going to hold #androidukbbq. Seeing as Android is a community, I think #androidukbbq should be a community effort as well, we should all get a say in it.

So where is it going to be (area of the UK or cities acceptable)?

  3. I'd love to suggest Scotland but I'm pretty certain that'd make the BBQ unreachable for most folks. Looks like I'll be travelling to England to indulge in stuffs again x3

  6. I'd love to say Wales, but, Wales!
Somewhere in the Midlands maybe, not too far to travel from Wales then!

  8. Manchester to London is expensive, Birmingham as a compromise?

  9. London would definitely put it out of reach for me, not because of distance, but because of cost. Somewhere more central to the isles that has decent travel links but wont break the bank for most would be brilliant.

  10. You need a place that is pretty much the same distance for everyone, like the midlands or something

  16. Some thoughts,

1.is the idea to do this in a free public space or hire out somewhere? I'm not sure if BBQing is allowed in public parks for instance.

    2. As it is unlikely that, wherever it is held, everyone could attend, could we have smaller regional events maybe joined by webcams.

    3. We need to get this sorted ASAP. The weather is stonking at the moment, but remember what country this is and what the default state of our weather is.

    1. If it is going to be a BBQ most likely it will have to be in a private field or park. We'll look into places once we have got the area sorted out.

    2. Getting this all hooked up with webcams in a place that we can have a bbq at such short notice is asking maybe just a little bit too much this year. If it's a success we can maybe look at doing this next year.

    3. Yes I know. This is why I'm trying to get this moving fast. But I need helpers!
